Students Wellbeing & Safety

At Fleetwood Primary School the wellbeing of children is what fuels our decision making.

We believe that learning and wellbeing go hand in hand, as top priorities for a positive educational experience. With a small school and closed knit community setting, we seek to understand and support all children based on who they are. All children participate in a morning meeting each day where social and emotional concepts are discussed and explored through fun and interactive games. Predictability is also a focal point, ensuring children are always aware of what to expect in their day.

Our staff provide a compassionate, caring and encouraging backdrop to life at Fleetwood Primary School, from our Principal team being out on yard duty in the mornings, to our supportive integration aide team, our friendly and helpful admin staff and of course the skills and dedicated teaching team. We make it our priority to ensure children feel respected, children are safe, and children learn responsibility.

Lunchtime Clubs and Support Space

To support the children of Fleetwood Primary School we offer a range of extra curricular activities to suit individual interests. We are thankful for our amazing staff who help run these clubs each week. Kids, we are always looking for extra clubs to run, so let us know what else we should run!

Some of our clubs include:

  • Drawing Club
  • Lego Club
  • Gaming Club
  • Computer Club
  • Chess Club
  • Dance Club
  • Board Games Club
  • Soccer Club

Alternative Supports

We understand that all children are unique, and one size does not fit all.

We find a variety of ways to connect with children and provide situations that will help the them grow and succeed. Our grounds and maintenance staff play an active role in the community and are also positive adults the children are able to interact with on a regular basis. Children also enjoy a range of activities and responsibilities in the school library.

Some extra curricular activities children can be involved with include:

  • School maintenance responsibilities like digging, shifting materials, moving computers
  • Taking out and bringing in the school rubbish and recycling bins
  • Gardening responsibilities like watering our plants
  • Raising of the school flags
  • Scanning returned books in the library
