Principal's Welcome

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Fleetwood Primary School, a collaborative community which holds children at the heart of every decision.

Fleetwood Primary School is located in Narre Warren, on the lands of the Bunurong people, and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Established in 1929 and relocated to Fleetwood Drive in 1996, our school proudly serves a diverse community within Melbourne’s South Eastern growth corridor.

We are a small school with a big heart – an inclusive, community-driven environment where every child is known, valued, and supported to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Our staff, students and families work in partnership to foster success in all forms.

At Fleetwood, we believe learning happens best when students are ready to learn and teachers are ready to teach. That means our classrooms start with predictability, structure, and strong routines. Every child has the right to feel safe, connected and calm – cornerstones of our work with the Berry Street Education Model, which underpins our approach to trauma-informed practice, student engagement and wellbeing.

We are guided by our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Safety, which are taught explicitly and embedded into all aspects of school life. From daily Circle Time and our Ready to Learn scales, to academic challenges and play, we believe in high expectations—matched with high support.

Our students come from a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and we are proud to celebrate and reflect that diversity across our programs. With skilled, dedicated and passionate educators, our school prioritises strong relationships, effective teaching, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all.

Please take the time to explore our website and don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to book a tour or learn more about how we can support your child at Fleetwood Primary School.
